Potential Winter Storm and Dangerous Cold Coming to Rehoboth Beach
A storm is expected to hit Rehoboth Beach and surrounding areas this weekend, with lingering freezing temperatures into next week. We have information on how city residents, businesses and homeowners can prepare.
It was agreed to change the meeting format moving into 2026. There will no longer be Workshops, and all meetings will allow for voting if the topics are described as such. This change will start with the January 5, 2026 meeting.
Fencing has gone up in front of the Atlantic Sands Hotel as they do some railing replacement work, taking up a portion of the Boardwalk. It is expected to be up until mid-January.

Rehoboth Beach Police Department unveils new community policing connect portal
In an effort to provide City of Rehoboth Beach residents peace of mind, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department has launched a Frontline Community Policing Connect portal. This new portal allows for communication between the City of Rehoboth Beach community and law enforcement by offering easy, direct access to several services. Entries in the portal are secure and only accessible by the Police Department.

The City of Rehoboth Beach has approved an agreement with Zambelli Fireworks Manufacturing Company to provide an exhibition and display of fireworks on July 5, 2026. Zambelli has been providing the fireworks show to Rehoboth Beach for several years, but this year is significant as it is USA’s 250th Birthday, so the show will be extra special.
