Driving and Parking Restrictions in Place in Rehoboth Beach During Winter Storm
January 25, 2026
UPDATE: As of 10:00am, Monday, Jan. 26, the Level 1 Driving Warning has been deactivated. Normal operations resume. And parking is allowed on all Rehoboth Beach city streets.
In addition to the Emergency Route Declaration issued Saturday night by City Manager Taylour Tedder, which prohibits parking on both sides of Rehoboth Avenue, Bayard Avenue and State Road until further notice, Sussex County is under a Level 1 Driving Warning.
Level 1 Driving Warning means:
- Any person operating a motor vehicle shall exercise extra caution in the operation of their motor vehicle.
- Motorists are encouraged not to operate a motor vehicle on the State’s roadways unless there is a significant safety, health, or business reason to do so.
This driving warning will remain until further notice and could be replaced with increased restrictions if necessary.
