Beach Conditions

Yellow Flag: Moderate hazard
Beach Conditions Yellow Flag: Moderate hazard

Each day during the summer season, the Rehoboth Beach Patrol assesses beach conditions and assigns a flag color to communicate conditions to the public. A colored flag indicating beach conditions is flown daily at the Rehoboth Beach Patrol headquarters at Baltimore Avenue. Beach conditions are updated daily at 9 am; they may change throughout the day.

Please note that flags on Rehoboth Beach lifeguard chairs are not connected to beach conditions; they are used to indicate location and provide assistance in reconnecting lost children with their parents.

Various colors are used by the Rehoboth Beach Patrol and other coastal communities to indicate beach conditions.
