By Authority of the City Manager, City of Rehoboth Beach issues Emergency Route Declaration beginning Feb. 22 at 9:00pm

This declaration is to establish designated weather-related Emergency Routes within the City of Rehoboth Beach to ensure safe travel, facilitate snow removal, and maintain access for emergency services during winter weather.

Due to the forecasted storm coming to Rehoboth Beach, which should see accumulating snow beginning Sunday night:

There will be NO PARKING on Rehoboth Avenue, Bayard Avenue, and State Road after 9pm on Sunday, Feb. 22. This will remain until the city’s snow removal operations are complete.

During the Emergency Route Declaration:

  • Parking is prohibited on Rehoboth Ave., Bayard Ave., and State Road on both sides.
  • Vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Residents are guided to use driveways or alternative off-street parking areas.
  • Drivers must yield to snow-removal equipment and emergency vehicles.
  • Obstruction of plowing operations is prohibited.
  • Residents are requested to keep fire hydrants visible and accessible.
