Police Accountability Committee

The Rehoboth Beach/Lewes Police Accountability Committee (PAC) provides advice to the departments on policy, training, how the departments engage in diverse communities, and other issues. The PAC is solely an advisory entity. In the spirit of fostering diverse opinions, the cities of Rehoboth Beach and Lewes combined their to create a PAC.

The Rehoboth Beach/Lewes Police Accountability Committee meets at least four times a year. The following meetings will take place at 10 am:

  • October 14, 2025, Lewes City Hall
  • January 27, 2026, Rehoboth Beach City Hall Commissioners Room, 2nd floor
  • April 29, 2026, Lewes City Hall

Members need not be residents of the City of Rehoboth Beach nor the City of Lewes, but members that do not reside in either city must have a full-time interest in the success of at least one of the cities. New members shall be approved by the committee upon completion of a standard vetting process. Members serve three year terms. Non-police officer committee members are required within one year of appointment, to complete 20 hours of community training with the department overseen by this committee.
